Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is hiring a Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic to perform light maintenance under close supervision and begin the first stage of training for Service Technician status.

You will work alongside experienced technicians, attend training sessions, and contribute to a clean, orderly shop environment while supporting repair and maintenance efforts on heavy-duty trucks.

Qualifications

• Performs maintenance work under supervision.
• Attends training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and handles tools properly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Performs light maintenance tasks (e.g., preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, light electrical repairs) under supervision.
• Assists Service Technicians in heavy-duty truck repair.
• Attends training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintains a clean, organized workspace and properly handles company tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
