Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. We have an opening for a Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic to perform light maintenance under close supervision as the first training stage toward a Service Technician status.

The role involves preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, light electrical repairs, and assisting experienced technicians with heavy-duty truck repair.

Qualifications

• Performs light maintenance tasks under close supervision.
• Communicates effectively with team and supervisor.
• Demonstrates safety awareness in all shop activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance tasks (preventive maintenance, inspections, basic repairs) under supervision.
• Assist technicians with heavier truck repairs.
• Attend training sessions to develop skills and knowledge.
• Keep work area clean and organized and manage tools properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
