Job summary

Penske is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic in Houston, TX to diagnose and repair tractor-trailer issues encountered during roadside assistance. You will work on trucks in varied weather conditions, following safety guidelines and Penske standards.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of diesel maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and a CDL with air brake certification. DOT compliance, tool proficiency, and willingness to travel within the district are required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL with air brake certification required.
• Specialized training in repair of vehicle components preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to road assist calls and identify parts requiring replacement or warrantable repairs.
• Perform diagnostics and quick-dispatch repairs as needed.
• Restock rapid assist vehicle with tools, parts, tires and supplies.
• Perform in-shop repairs when not on road calls as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with designated projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
