Interstate Companies, Inc. is seeking Diesel Mechanic/Technician candidates for our Lincoln, Nebraska location. Openings cover off-highway equipment, with opportunities across multiple brands and heavy diesel equipment.

Expect a pay range of $25.00-$42.00 per hour depending on experience. Key duties include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related components, with emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills are preferred.
• Good communication with team and customers is essential.
• MSHA certification is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain diesel engines and related components on heavy equipment.
• Accurately diagnose engine conditions and perform necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding repairs.
• Quality control to ensure customer satisfaction and proper documentation.
• Operate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect for defects.
• Work on heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr).
• Possess a valid driver-s license; CDL holders may receive bonus compensation.
