Job summary

XPO Logistics in Minnesota is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to perform routine maintenance on Class 6–8 diesel equipment and related assets. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure safety compliance, with opportunities for overtime and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a technical school degree with certification in heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance.
• EPA HVAC Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certification within 90 days of hire (ASE, MACS or equivalent).
• A valid driver’s license.
• Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG and ARC).
• Basic hand tools required for heavy-duty trailer and tractor maintenance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Brake inspection qualified per FMCSA 396.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualified per FMCSA 396.19.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on class 6 through 8 diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment.
• Inspect and access equipment for maintenance, including work in/on/under parts of equipment.
• Repair or rebuild various systems and diagnose issues.
• Troubleshoot and fix equipment and components.
• Adhere to DOT, EPA, OSHA rules and regulations.
