Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing in Columbus, OH is seeking a Diesel Technician to service vehicles and equipment, perform repairs, and replace components. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and adherence to manuals while maintaining quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, and other parts.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures based on observations.
• Inspect safety devices and make adjustments as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and test drive to verify conformance.
• Attend training classes and keep up with factory bulletins.
• Develop positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
