Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Technician A to inspect, repair, and maintain our diesel tractors, city trucks, and forklifts. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures and ensure timely repairs to keep freight moving.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least 6 months of related experience. Pay ranges from $33.00 to $40.45 per hour, with location and experience influencing the rate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; valid Driver’s License; at least 6 months related experience and/or training; must pass background check and drug test.
• Preferred: Diesel Engine Repair, Automotive Diagnostics, Automotive Service, ASE Certification, Diesel Engine Certification.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, repair, and maintain equipment used to transport and handle freight.
• Track completed and uncompleted work to meet service schedule and customer commitments.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on components and systems of trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other type of breakdown; determine root cause.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system test, brake adjustments, and tire inflation.
• Repair or rebuild all or part of a system of assigned equipment as needed.
