Decker Truck Line is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician in Des Moines, IA, offering a choice between 4‑ or 5‑day workweeks. You will perform diagnostic and repair work on a private fleet, use OEM interfaces, and ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA policies. Must have own tools and a valid driver’s license.

The role provides a competitive weekly pay, benefits including health and dental, and a path for growth into lead technician or shop leadership as you gain experience.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ months of auto or diesel mechanic experience.
• Own tools; tool lease-to-own option available if needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills for email and work orders etc.
• Knowledge and adherence to DOT/OSHA policies and procedures.

Diesel Mechanic Technician Must Haves

• Computer based diagnostic skills with OEM interfaces
• Paccar experience preferred
• 6+ Months of Auto or Diesel Mechanic experience
• Must have own tools; tool lease-to-ownprogram available if needed
• Valid driver’s license required
• Basic computer knowledge for email and work orders etc.
• Knowledge and adherence to DOT/OSHA policies and procedures

Diesel Mechanic Technician Nice to Haves

• Steel and Aluminum Welding experience is a plus
• Reefer experience is a plus
• CDL a plus but not required

Great schedule of Monday-Friday 1st shift 7am-3:30pm or Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm, your choice!On-call as needed.$2000 Bonus for new experienced tractor/trailer Diesel Mechanic with at least 1 year of experience:$500 after 30 days, $500 after 90 days, $1000 after 180 days. $500 Bonus for entry-level Mechanic:$250after 30 days, $250 after 90 days.
