Amwaste in Milledgeville, GA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain engines and equipment on our waste collection trucks and service drivers daily.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, welding, and loading trailers at the transfer station. Competitive pay, 401K benefits, and paid vacation from day one are offered.

JOB SUMMARY_

Performs preventive maintenance, problem diagnostics, and repairs on Company vehicles and equipment.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Troubleshoots vehicle and equipment operations problems, diagnoses and subsequently makes repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment according to standard schedules.
• Adjusts, repairs or replaces parts and equipment.
• Attends safety meetings and classes.
• Maintains tools and equipment.

• Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPLEXITY

The work consists of related vehicle and equipment maintenance duties. The variety of equipment to be maintained contributes to the complexity of the position.
