Job summary

Miller Transportation Group in Brockton, MA is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician for the Miller Truck Leasing division. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and keep heavy vehicles on the road.

The position offers evening and night shifts, competitive pay of $30-$45 per hour plus a $1 per hour second shift differential, and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO and insurance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
• A valid CDL (Class A or B) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles, including refrigeration vehicles.
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes using company-supplied OEM software following warranty procedures.
• Repair/Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, perform alignments, and replace clutches and transmissions.

You Will:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles, as well as refrigeration vehicles

You Have:

• Prior experience working as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic

• Have your own tools
• Ability to work:
  • Monday - Friday from 2:30 PM until 11:00 PM
  • Tuesday - Saturday from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM
  • Tuesday - Friday from 2:30 PM until 11:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 until 4:30 PM
• Competitive compensation: $30-45 per hour + $1 Per Hour 2nd Shift Differential
