Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) in Jacksonville, FL. You will maintain and repair rental equipment, perform preventive maintenance and demonstrate machinery to customers, while ensuring accurate documentation and safe operation.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and communication as you support the Service Department and contribute to a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• 1–2 years' repair/maintenance experience or trade school graduate.
• Owns tools applicable to the position.
• Basic understanding of schematics/diagrams.
• Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic work orders in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate a wide array of equipment to customers.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Additional duties as assigned.
