Job summary

Waste Management is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Campbellton, FL, to work on-site with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 12:00 pm–8:30 pm. You will diagnose and repair diesel vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while delivering reliable service to the community.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a drug screen and physical. Tool allowances and education assistance support employee growth.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Safety checks on vehicles and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Complete defined project work and ensure timely completion.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
