WM is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Elgin, SC. The role offers a starting hourly wage and stable hours in a repair shop setting. You will diagnose and repair diesel vehicles, maintain safety standards and support senior mechanics on projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Be over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements with/without accommodations
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs and parts.
• Work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Assist senior mechanics on project work.
• Review and document repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
