Job summary

WM is looking for a Diesel Mechanic in Hardeeville, SC to service and repair their trucks and equipment. The role offers a stable, weekday schedule with no weekends and a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

As part of a large nationwide provider, you will work in a shop setting, using modern tools and procedures to maintain a growing fleet, including potential work on CNG trucks. Benefits include healthcare, tuition support, and a company 401(k).

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Safety checks on vehicles to ensure employee and community safety.
• Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Assist senior Mechanics in project work.
• Review and assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
