Job summary

Inland Truck Parts & Service is seeking a Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic to service class 6-8 trucks in a clean, well-equipped, and ventilated facility. The role offers opportunities to develop skills while working on a variety of makes and models. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00–5:00.

Candidates should have mechanical ability, read diagrams, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Preference for self-motivated, detail-oriented candidates with 3+ years of related experience.

Inland Truck Parts & Service is looking to hire a Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic. We work on all makes and models of trucks, so your skills are always developing. At least one year of experience working on class 6-8 trucks is required.

Job Responsibilities for a Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic

Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00-5:00

The position will involve, but not be limited to, the following:

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on class 6 to class 8 heavy-duty trucks
• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities within all heavy-duty truck and trailer systems componentry. For example: hydraulics, engines, electrical, drive train, suspension, HVAC, braking systems, etc.
• Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Work independently, as well as part of a team

Candidates must have mechanical ability/ skills/ knowledge; ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic math skills, tools, and the ability to read & understand manuals/ diagrams. You must be able to bend, stoop, twist, carry, push, pull, and go up/down steps.

Preference given to candidates who are self-motivated, detail oriented, have 3+ years of experience in a related field, strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new skills quickly, and a desire for career advancement.
