Job Description

This individual will be responsible for the effective repair of equipment and components at high levels of quality. Their work must be completed in a safe, professional, and timely manner. Based on their level of expertise, the Service Technician may work under direct supervision. This individual must be able to perform quality work efficiently and profitably, including occasional overtime and weekend work.

Specific Duties Include:

1. Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
2. Document machine information and repairs on work orders, including parts and fluids used.
3. Maintain a clean work area and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
4. Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities within the dealership's area of responsibility.
5. Maintain technical and product knowledge of all equipment sold within the dealership's area of responsibility.
6. Follow all safety rules and regulations and adhere to company policies and procedures.
7. Represent the company professionally in the presence of customers and the community.
8. Participate in company-sponsored training to develop and enhance skills and knowledge.
9. Engage in communication efforts such as meetings, huddles, and department updates.
10. Maintain positive relationships with peers, management, and support resources, emphasizing teamwork and customer service.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management in a professional manner.

Job Requirements:

1. Excellent mechanical skills.
2. Trade-specific tools, including hand and pneumatic tools.
3. Strong computer skills.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
5. Ability to assemble and perform maintenance on equipment.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills.
7. Strong organizational skills.
8. Graduation from a related diesel technology program is preferred.
