Job summary
Aerotek is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Franklin Park, IL to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on medium duty trucks and diesel engines. You will repair air brakes, read schematics, and diagnose electrical issues while working with hydraulic systems.
The role requires strong experience in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics, with a schedule of Sun-Wed, 5am–3:30pm and a fully onsite work environment in Franklin Park, IL.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in diesel mechanics.
- At least 1 year of experience in hydraulics.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Capability to obtain an airport SIDA badge.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance on diesel engines and medium duty trucks.
- Repair and diagnose issues with diesel engines and air brakes.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Perform wiring diagnostics and address check engine light issues related to drivability.
- Work with hydraulic systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Utilize electrical experience to diagnose and resolve electrical issues in trucks.
