Job summary

United Rentals in Port St. Lucie, FL is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.

You will document work orders daily and deliver exceptional customer service. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and 3–5 years of hands-on repair experience with strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner.
• When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; maintain service vehicle clean.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
