Qualifications

• Must have basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Prior mechanic experience with gasoline or diesel engines preferred.
• Safely work in a shop and with various tools.
• Able to read repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Capable of prolonged physical exertion and awkward positions.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to operate service vehicles and move vehicles as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance on fleet vehicles safely.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failures and guide repairs.
• Complete work within standard repair times and report deviations.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
