Job summary

Swift Transportation in Los Lunas, NM is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a large fleet, perform proactive maintenance, and diagnose complex issues on diesel engines and related systems. The role requires a valid driver’s license and completion of a background check, with a pre-employment hair follicle drug screen.

Position offers pay of $22–$32 per hour, with a Wednesday–Saturday shift and alternating Wednesdays.

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.)
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.
