Job summary

Henpen Corporation in Detroit, MI seeks a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, loaders, drills, and conveyors. You will work to keep our fleet operating at peak performance and promote safe, efficient operations in an industrial setting.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a diesel mechanic cert, and 5+ years in industrial/mining environments. Strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Accredited diesel engine mechanic certification.
• 5+ years in industrial shop or mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze malfunctions and repair power equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose defects, dismantle and reassemble equipment.
• Weld broken parts and structural members.
• Check fluid levels and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and complete logs.
• Communicate safety and production status to supervisor.
