Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Kapolei, Hawaii.

Benefits and Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $27.68 per hour
• Sign-On Bonus: $1000 paid in 30 days and $1000 paid after 90 days
• $300 Tool Box Incentive yearly
• Schedule: 5-day work week including Saturdays
• Hours: Second shift 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm and Saturdays 6:30 am - 3:30 pm
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 four times a year

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance
• Two or more years of relevant classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred

Additional Notes

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. You must:

• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Inspect and repair components
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Replace defective components
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
• Use shop management systems and documentation
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
• Support operations as needed, including service island duties
