Job summary

Transdev in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Level 1 Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles. You will support A-Level and B-Level mechanics and perform routine maintenance to keep fleets safe and reliable.

Starting pay is 25.25 per hour, with full-time benefits including vacation, sick leave, medical/dental/vision after 90 days, 401k, life insurance, holidays, tool reimbursement, and ASE-related training. DOT drug testing applies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided
• Mechanic’s Tool Set required
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules; DOT drug testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level mechanics in diagnostics and repairs.
• Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine repair strategies.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting including overhauling and rebuilding components.
