Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. is seeking a fleet maintenance mechanic in Houston, TX to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel fuel trucks and related equipment.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivability issues to keep vehicles safe and reliable on the road. You will service brake systems, suspensions, transmissions, steering components, and emissions systems, and maintain fuel pumping equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• CDL preferred or ability to obtain within timeframe after hire.
• Experience servicing and repairing air/hydraulic brake systems required.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered vehicles preferred.
• Ability to safely use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel fuel trucks, boom trucks, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivability issues to ensure safe operation.
• Service and repair brake systems, suspensions, transmissions, steering components, and emissions systems.
• Maintain and repair fuel pumping and fuel transfer equipment on trucks.
• Document inspections, maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow safety policies.
