Greenwich Terminals LLC is seeking qualified mechanics to inspect and maintain equipment and vehicles at the Packer Avenue Marine Terminal in Philadelphia. The role supports union operations with multiple shifts (2nd and 3rd) and offers comprehensive benefits, including health care and pension plans.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive or heavy equipment mechanic experience, or a Technical School diploma.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety management and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain equipment and vehicles to ensure proper working condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair engine failures and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system malfunctions.
• Replace defective parts and components as needed.
• Listen to and assess operator complaints to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Verify vehicle capability through test drives and adjustment of controls and systems.
• Maintain accurate equipment records by documenting all service and repairs.
• Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained in appearance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.
• Follow all company safety policies and utilize safe working practices.
• Ability to work at satellite sites within a 10-mile radius.
