The ideal candidate has experience in fleet mechanics and must be able to work 2nd Shift. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on Class 1-8 vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair engine fault codes following warranty procedures.
• Repair brakes, steering components, and perform alignments.
• Replace clutches and transmissions.

Pay Range

Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr – $85,000.00/yr.

Position: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Division: Miller Truck Leasing. Location: Northeast Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles.
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures.
• Repair and replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments.
• Replace clutches and transmissions.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
• A valid CDL, or ability to acquire a CDL with assistance from our trainer.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Experience working on refrigeration units is desired but not required.
• Availability to work 2nd Shift: Tuesday–Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
