East Coast Civil Group in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered construction equipment including excavators, dozers, graders, and trucks. This role ensures safe, efficient operations in the field and supports project teams to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has several years of diesel repair experience, strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulics, and a safety-focused mindset. CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in construction equipment repair.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
• CDL or ability to obtain one preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment and diesel vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts usage.
• Ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards.
• Respond to on-site service calls as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers and operators to minimize equipment downtime.
