Job summary

Cemex US is seeking an experienced Mechanic to diagnose and repair diesel tractors, trailers and other equipment. You will ensure repairs meet safety policies and OSHA standards while performing routine maintenance and component replacements.

The role requires 3 years of related experience, a high school diploma, and a willingness to travel regionally with a strong safety mindset. Proficiency in English with Spanish being a plus is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years related experience or training.
• Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle problems and repair per standard methods.
• Discuss complex repairs with Terminal Manager or Supervisor.
• Enforce safety policies (lockout/tagout) and OSHA regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance per PM checklist.
• Replace worn components (e.g., brakes, clutches, radiators).
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and hydraulic components.
