Job summary

Holliday Rock Co., Inc. seeks a journeyman Diesel Mechanic to inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul diesel and gasoline vehicles and equipment.

The role covers on‑highway trucks, ready‑mix vehicles, and construction machinery to keep fleet operations compliant with safety and reliability standards. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures, perform tune‑ups, and use OEM software for diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of heavy‑duty diesel equipment maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; Class A or B preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Work in varying environmental conditions including dust and outdoor weather.

Responsibilities

• Complete tune-ups, repairs, and overhauls of diesel engines.
• Repair gasoline engines and transmissions as needed.
• Use OEM software to diagnose engines and transmissions.
• Overhaul and maintain suspension, steering, brakes, and exhaust systems.
• Submit required work orders and report time spent.
• Perform welding on steel and aluminum (Gas, Arc, Mig).
• Make service calls for emergency repairs and towing.
