GFL Environmental Inc. in High Point, NC is seeking a Mechanic to keep our fleet rolling. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, using diagnostic software and your own tool set.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on problem solving, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop. We value 1+ year of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a technical certification if available.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or trade certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician.
• Comfortable using computer diagnostic software and maintaining digital work orders.
• Must possess and maintain personal tool set for heavy/hydraulic equipment maintenance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a dynamic shop.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks, CNG, gas, and electrically operated vehicles.
• Master the Tech: Use diagnostic software and manuals to identify mechanical issues.
• Keep Things Scheduled: Plan & schedule repairs, procure parts, and assist with work orders.
• Work Safe, Work Smart: Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety regulations.
• Support the Team: Collaborate with colleagues, help train new mechanics, and participate in seminars.
