Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Ocala, FL is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to safely diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and rolling stock, with a 5x10 afternoon shift 1:30 PM – Midnight.

You must have at least 1 year of hands-on experience, own tools, and proficiency with diagnostic software. Competitive pay up to $30+/hour plus a solid benefits package including PTO, holidays, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on diesel mechanic experience.
• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma/trade school preferred.
• Own and maintain a personal set of tools required for heavy equipment maintenance.
• Proficient with diagnostic software/tools and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks, CNG, gas, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, rebuilds, and major repairs.
• Manage work orders, order parts, and schedule jobs using our M5 system.
• Maintain safe working conditions and follow all safety regulations.
