Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Covington, GA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.

You will travel to job sites as needed and document work orders with care. The role requires 3–5 years' experience and a valid driver's license; ownership of your own tools; a strong mechanical background; and a commitment to customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; maintain service vehicle clean.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
