Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment at the Long Beach shop. You will support all aspects of mechanical repair and maintenance and report to the local shop manager.

The role requires three years of experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Certification in automotive technology is preferred, with proficiency in diagnostic tools and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Three years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Certification or diploma in automotive technology preferred.
• Proven diesel mechanic experience.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance services.
• Diagnostics and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems.
• Estimates time and material costs on repairs and requisitions new parts.
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conducts annual safety checks on vehicles.
• Completes paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software.
• Reviews Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports and assigns repairs.
• Assists other mechanics in project work.
