Academy Bus is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic - Class A for our Atlanta, GA location. Offering a $2500 Sign-On Bonus. The shift is from 10:00pm to 6:30am.

Job Details
  • Shift: 6:30pm - 4:30am
  • Pay Range: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Responsibilities
  • Repair, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of modern tour bus engines and transmissions
  • Reconditioning, preventative, and routine maintenance
  • Inspections and road tests
  • Warranty and repair documentation
  • Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly, and cleaning of various components such as diesel engines, electronic systems, drive line components, tires, brakes, and more
  • Respond to road calls
  • General welding and fabrication
Requirements
  • 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance experience
  • Own tools required
  • Ability to use various hand tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, and testing instruments
  • Proficient with diagnostic devices like DDEC, ATEC, SmarTire, schematics, etc.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills
  • CDL license with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus but not required; willingness to obtain a CDL is desirable
