As a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - CES), you'll perform maintenance and complex repairs on customer-owned equipment safely and professionally. You can improve and challenge yourself daily, with potential for advancement into higher Service Technician and leadership roles in our Service Department. All team members are expected to provide exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of complex customer-owned equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain accurate paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a variety of complex equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance when required; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 3-5 years of experience in repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive per United Rentals' policies.
