Qualifications

• High School/GED or trade/vocational training completed.
• 1 year of experience as a mechanic on heavy mobile equipment or locomotive repair training.
• Candidate has valid driver's license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive work assignments and instructions for diagnosis and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment including locomotives.
• Analyze drawings, sketches, and schematics to determine tools and procedures.
• Work in shop or field as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.
• Operate crane and heavy equipment to lift and transport materials.
• Lift, assemble, and maintain equipment while keeping area clean and orderly.
