Qualifications

• Experience as a diesel mechanic or in a mechanical helper/apprentice role preferred.
• Familiarity with diesel engines, drivetrain systems, and fleet vehicles.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment safely.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks, fleet vehicles, and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Assist with parts sourcing, ordering, and inventory management.
• Support senior mechanics with repairs and service tasks (Helper role).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop standards.
• Document service records and repair orders accurately.
