Job summary

A. Duie Pyle in Carteret, NJ is hiring a Diesel Technician to join the Fleet Maintenance Department. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, troubleshoot systems, and diagnose engine/electrical issues in a modern shop environment.

The role offers an hourly pay range of $30.00–$45.00 with a $5.00 per hour shift differential, weekly direct deposits, and comprehensive benefits. Overtime is available after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience repairing/maintaining Class 8 trucks.
• A complete set of hand tools for a heavy duty truck technician.
• Vocational or Technical Training in diesel or heavy‑duty vehicle experience; HS Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to learn and grow your abilities.
• Ability to work independently with a “can‑do” attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs to heavy duty trucks.
• Troubleshoot and repair brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, etc.
• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, and exhaust after‑treatment systems.
• Inspect and replace general components as required.
