Job summary

Bemana is assisting in recruiting a Diesel Mechanic in Jesup, GA to join a maintenance team for a nationwide lumber manufacturer. The role focuses on repair and upkeep of diesel trucks, trailers, and lift trucks to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of mechanical experience with diesel engines, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• 2nd shift: 11AM-7PM.
• Minimum 1-2 years of mechanical experience working on tractors, trailers, or forklifts.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret technical information.
• Ability to maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• 1+ year of diesel engine repair experience.
• 1+ year of general mechanical experience.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems in a logistics or transportation setting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Conduct regular maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and lift trucks.
• Inspect and test equipment to identify issues and verify that repairs have been properly completed.
• Follow all company safety protocols, including Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner and document maintenance activities thoroughly.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and departments to coordinate maintenance needs.
