Job summary

A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced 2nd shift Diesel Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team at our Maspeth, NY shop. This role offers a pay rate of $30.00 - $45.00 per hour, plus a $3.00 per hour shift differential and overtime after 40 hours.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off. 3:00 PM start, Monday through Friday in a clean, modern shop with new equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience repairing/maintaining Class 8 trucks.
• Vocational or Technical Training in diesel or heavy-duty vehicles.
• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow your abilities.
• Ability to work independently with a “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs to heavy duty trucks
• Troubleshooting and repairing brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems
• Diagnosing and repairing the engine, electrical, and exhaust after-treatment systems
• Inspecting and replacing general components as required

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:

• Willingness to learn and grow your abilities
• Ability to work independently with a “can-do” attitude
