Silvi Materials is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for 2nd or 3rd shift at South Plainfield, NJ. Earn $42-46/hour with shift differential; signing bonuses up to $15,000 are offered in installments. Qualifications

• 3+ years of fleet/transportation maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance and wiring diagrams, schematics and manuals.
• Experience with heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Familiarity with OSHA/DOT safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, professional working environment.
• Diagnose and perform preventive maintenance for diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Repair engines, transmissions, axles and related sub-assemblies.
• Perform electrical work including wiring and sensor diagnostics.
• Learn to use diagnostic equipment and road-service procedures.
• Keep shop and work area clean and organized.
• Prepare time and parts usage reports.
