Job summary

Martin Transportation Systems is hiring Diesel Truck Mechanics for 1st shift. This full-time role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a recent model fleet of Freightliner tractors and trailers. The candidate should have 1–2 years of heavy duty experience and own basic tools.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years heavy duty experience required.
• Experience using Class 8 diagnostic tools preferred.
• Diesel mechanic experience repairing trucks and/or trailers is desired.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and perform general maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Perform maintenance on Freightliner tractors and trailers.
• Conduct trailer repairs, services and welding as needed.
• Perform light computer work related to diagnostics and records.

The Right Diesel Mechanic Will Have The Following

• Experience using Class 8 diagnostic tools
• Some experience as a Diesel Mechanic repairing trucks and/or trailers
• Be able to diagnose, repair and perform general maintenance
• Be able to perform general maintenance on our recent model fleet of Freightliner Tractors
• Be able to perform general maintenance on our recent model fleet of trailers
• Trailer repairs, services and welding
• Light computer work also requested
• Must have your own basic tools
• Pay based on experience
• Willing to train the right candidate
