Job summary

Kreilkamp Trucking, Inc. is seeking mechanically minded Diesel Technician and Trailer Technician for our Wisconsin shop. You will diagnose equipment, repair or replace engine, steering, transmission, braking and lighting components, and perform preventative maintenance on service trucks while keeping detailed service records.

2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Candidates should be mechanically inclined, physically fit to lift up to 50 pounds, and able to work with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanically inclined and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of tractor and/or trailer components.
• Proficient with maintenance and repair tools.

Responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests on equipment (tractors and trailers).
• Replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Test drive vehicles to gauge performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on service trucks.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.
• Maintain a parts inventory.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.

Job description

We are looking for mechanically inclined candidates with good attention to detail for the positions of Diesel Technician and Trailer Technician. The primary duties of shop technicians include performing diagnostic tests on our equipment to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components.

Diesel Technicians need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles and interact with drivers on a daily basis.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday; 7AM to 3:30PM

• Running diagnostic tests on equipment (tractors and trailers).
