Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Tucker, Georgia.

• Hourly Pay: $26.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter
• Sign-On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
• Hours: Second shift, 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance
• Two or more years of related classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

• This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become an employee, you must:
  • Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Conduct standard inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Replace defective components
• Support facility maintenance
• Interact with customers/drivers to clarify issues
• Utilize shop management systems and documentation
• Comply with safety, DOT, and other regulations
• Support operations as needed, including Service Island duties
