Job description

Red Stag LLC is seeking a skilled full-time diesel mechanic. A Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related systems in vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other related systems in accordance with industry standards and company policies
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
• Inspect and test vehicles to identify any potential issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments
• Keep accurate records of all services and repairs performed on each vehicle
• Communicate and collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of work
• Conduct safety checks and DOT inspections
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment
• Maintain a clean and organized working area and properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Ensure the shop stays tidy and organized
• Other related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a transportation or logistics industry
• Proven knowledge and experience in diesel engine diagnostics and repairs
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with excellent time‑management abilities
• Willingness to work flexible schedules and on‑call as needed
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 50 pounds, sit for an extended period, and reach overhead
