Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for our Seekonk, MA Service Center. You will maintain fleet equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and complete major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related components.

The role runs 3rd shift and offers PTO after 90 calendar days and a comprehensive benefits package, including access to employee resorts. Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines and Cetaris work orders is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical.
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Handle welding and trailer PMs as needed.

Job Description

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Seekonk, MA Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines


• Must be able to handle major repairs


• Experience with AC and Electrical


• Have the abilityto lift 50lbs


• Must have own tools


• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred


• Experience in preventive maintenance ofCummins & Detroit engines
