Job summary

TNT Crane & Rigging Inc. is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic to service cranes, forklifts, and related equipment at our Norco, LA or St. James, LA locations.

The role requires performing scheduled maintenance, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and documenting all work performed. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in a heavy equipment setting, and the ability to lift over 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school diploma preferred.
• Experience in automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environments is a plus (2+ years).
• Ability to lift over 40 lbs and pass drug screen/background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on trucks, cranes, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Document maintenance and repairs and file records accurately.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues; perform service tasks.
• Maintain tool inventory and bring own tools as required.
• Communicate safety issues clearly to customers and co-workers on site.

The mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment. Follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles.
