TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc. is currently seeking a full‑time experienced Diesel Mechanic to help build our branch location. The mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.

The role requires following state and federal laws and safety policies while on the job. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including health benefits, paid vacation, per diem, and ample overtime opportunities. Located at Norco, LA or St.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a mechanic in automotive, trucking or heavy equipment.
• Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Trade school diploma preferred; valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Supply your own tools with up‑to‑date inventory.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on trucks, cranes, forklifts, and equipment.
• Document all maintenance and repairs and file records properly.
• Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong work ethic.
• Understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits is a plus.
• Be available for some evenings and weekends at the shop.
• Clearly communicate safety issues to customers and coworkers on site.
• Report to Supervisor/Lead Mechanic on completion of tasks.
• Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics and mechanical cranes.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least (2) years’ experience as a mechanic in an automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus.
• Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Trade school diploma preferred
• Must have a valid Driver’s License

• Understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits a plus
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends at the shop
• Must be able to verbally communicate Safety issues to Customers and co-workers on location before and during job task.
• Reports to Supervisor and/or Lead Mechanic on completion of assigned job task for next assignment.
• Hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical crane troubleshooting.
