Job summary

TNT Crane and Rigging Inc. is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic at our Norco, LA location to service cranes, forklifts and related equipment. The role requires performing maintenance, repairs and documentation while following safety and environmental policies.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of heavy equipment or automotive mechanic experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. Trade school diploma is preferred and ability to lift up to 40 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of mechanic experience in automotive, trucking or heavy equipment.
• Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Trade school diploma preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide your own tools with an up-to-date inventory.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on trucks, cranes, forklifts and other equipment.
• Document all maintenance and repairs and file records properly.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits is a plus.
• Be available for evenings and weekends at the shop.
• Communicate safety issues to customers and co-workers on site.
• Report to Supervisor/Lead Mechanic on task completion.
• Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics and mechanical crane systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary:

TNT Crane and Rigging Inc. is currently seeking a full-time experienced Diesel Mechanic to help build our branch location. The mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment. Follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles. Follows all safety and environmental policies while performing job tasks.

• At least (2) years' experience as a mechanic in an automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus.
• Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

• Must be able to perform scheduled maintenance trucks, cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment
• Must be able to document all maintenance and repairs performed on the equipment and file records properly.

• Ability to work some evenings and weekends at the shop
• Must be able to verbally communicate Safety issues to Customers and co-workers on location before and during job task.
• Reports to Supervisor and/or Lead Mechanic on completion of assigned job task for next assignment.
• Hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical crane troubleshooting.
