Diesel Technician/Mechanic (Day and Night shifts available, shift premiums provided for night shift)

Job Summary:

The primary duties of a Diesel Technician/Mechanic include performing diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results, and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of services for clients and the company.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil and checking batteries.
  • Perform inspections on trucks and provide accurate/timely documentation.
  • Install emissions control systems in accordance with pollution control regulations.
  • Operate hydraulic jacks or hoists to safely raise and lower vehicles and other equipment.
  • Uphold engine safety standards in accordance with federal and state vehicle requirements.
  • Inspect diesel vehicles and identify issues through diagnostic tests, test drives, physical examinations, and visual inspections.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Qualifications:

  • Diesel ASE certification preferred.
  • CDL certification preferred. (We will assist to obtain)
  • Self-motivated and professional.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • PA State Inspection License, or willingness to obtain, preferred.
  • At least 2 years of Fleet or Dealership experience preferred.
